On December 16, 2021, Super Typhoon Odette (Rai) struck Cebu with devastating force, leaving destruction in its wake. Many structures, including Metro Gaisano, were completely wrecked, with shattered glass walls and severe damage.

But by God’s grace, our commercial buildings remained undamaged, standing firm despite the storm’s fury. While the surrounding trees were lost, even our kubo survived. Instead of seeing loss, we saw an opportunity—to rebuild, renew, and create something meaningful.
